Intensity was the first Constraint Induced Movement Therapy programmer in Australia

Phillip Fay was the first therapist in Australia to Train in Constraint Induced Therapy at the University Of Alabama Birmingham USA in 2009 .
This training is based on the research work of the CI Therapy Research Group at the Taub Clinic run from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, USA and the ground breaking work of Professor Edward Taub.
The Constraint Induced Therapy was referred to in book The Brain That Changes Itself by Dr Norman Doidge.
Constraint Induced Movement Therapy Australia (CI Therapy Programme) is run by Mr Phillip Fay, Occupational Therapist, who was trained at the University of Alabama in USA in 2009 .The first and one of only a few in Australia to have completed this TRAINING.

He also trained at the University of Sydney and have 28 years’ experience treating stroke and other neurological injuries in Australia and overseas.
This is the first service of its kind in Australia and I have been running successful clinics since 2009. We run clinics for all ages from 12 months to 100 because our brains never lose the ability to rewire.At CI Therapy we also have Physiotherapy and speech pathology and are the first and only service to offer Constraint Induced Movement Therapy for the lower limb and a new programmer for Aphasia and that combines the upper limb and speech programmers together.
